I conceived my first baby when I was 24 and gave birth when I was 25. When I found out I was pregnant, I cried a lot. I was scared I didn't know what I would do but at the same time, I felt this strange feeling which later on was named excitement. I didn't wanna think that I had the kicks of motherhood but I found myself looking for books for first time moms in the nearest bookstore. I complied with the suggestions given: from food to eat, vitamins to take, and exercise to follow. I never fail to visit my ob-gynecologist for regular check up. Until I realized I was no longer scared. I became more hopeful for the day she would come out of my womb. It happened on August 21, 2004. The 7.5 lbs. 21 inches beautiful baby girl came out after 17 hours of painful labor. I never thought I could bear the pain, but I did. When I saw her the first time, I was so proud of her. Anyone who could see her won't ask for her gender because from the features alone, you could easily tell, she's a girl. In all angles, she wouldn't be mistaken to be a boy. I named her Tamarra Cashmiere. That was six years ago. Now, Tamtam (her nick) at 6 is already in Grade 1 and is doing good in school. So happy and proud of her,,,my FIRSTBORN.
